Les Ballets Persans, a non profit cultural organization, is the most extensive Iranian artistic project ever realized in exile. Les Ballets Persans’ world premier production, as the recreation of the former Iranian National Ballet, was presented in October 2002 and engaged 106 participants from 22 different countries. Supported partially by the Swedish government, the foundation of Les Ballets Persans is one of the few established Iranian cultural organizations in Europe and is a reference source centre for the Persian and Eastern countries’ art of ballet.

The mission of the Friends of Les Ballets Persans is to collect support and contribution from the company’s audience and to organize their participation in the work and development of the foundation of Les Ballets Persans.

The main objectives of the project are:

●  to vitalize and popularize the forgotten Persian art of ballet and restore the Iranian ballet tradition through new dance productions
●  to effect and increase the public interest for this Persian heritage particularly within the Iranian Diaspora
●  to promote a professional collaboration between artists and cultural workers on an international and intercultural level
●  to establish contact and collaboration with other artistic and cultural institutions and thus make possible the international launch of the dance company
●  to create a repertoire that will introduce the Eastern and particularly the Iranian culture and produce dance performances and arrange international tours
●  to act as a source center of information of Middle Eastern ballet repertoire
●  to act and co-operate for the cultural integration in Europe and the rest of the world

● Arranging lectures on Persian dance, music, literature, art and culture
● Arranging courses in classical ballet on different levels
● Academic research on the Iranian and the Middle Eastern art of ballet

As an enthusiast member you are welcome to join the Friends of Les Ballets Persans offering your individual contributions like your time, talent and financial support. We invite you to participate in organization’s various activities as a member and as such you will have especial privileges such as:

Besides the eligibility of watching the rehearsals of the company, Patrons and Grand Patrons of Les Amis are exclusively invited to participate in the organization’s internal events and parties. Grand Patrons will be presented as such in all organization publications.
