Inspired by the
graphic works of Iran's leading graphic designer, the late master
Morteza Momayez, the dance installation of "Hanging
Gardens of Lost Dreams" is a contemporary multimedia and
movement performance.
The production is
a collaboration between the photographer Rahim Karimi and
the choreographer Nima Kiann and is
a metaphorical contemporary dance and video installation in
ten following scenes telling the story of an individual’s
journey through time and space.
This is a story of a young man’s destiny
and dreams. The loneliness
he felt in search of a new future, the memories
that followed him during his journey, longing to see
his beloved mother, feeling of
belonging to nowhere, finding finally
a new home in a promised land but
difficulty to integrate this home for its doors are closed
to him. At last he finds a trusting love
and a reason to live: Hope.
